Field Trip

On October 2, 2013, the entire first grade got to go to the Giltner Dairy out in Jerome. The kids had a blast and learned a lot about cows and the milking process. They got to feed baby calves with a bottle, spray utters with iodine for sanitation purposes, see the milking process and where the milk is stored, and have some milk and cookies! It was a lot of fun. Here is Room 2 at the dairy!

Johnny Appleseed

This past week we celebrated Johnny Appleseed's birthday in Room 2! We did a lot of fun projects with apples and had a great time meeting Johnny Appleseed. Below are a few pictures from our week!

Read Like An Eagle

We had our Read Like An Eagle Kickoff Assembly! CSI players, coaches, and the CSI Golden Eagle came  to Perrine to get the students excited about reading. Remember to read every night!

Rhyme Stew!

We made our own Rhyme Stew with rhyming words after reading the poem Rhyme Stew.

Welcome Back!

Welcome to my blog and welcome to the 2013-2014 school year!

I am Ms. Vriesman, one of the first grade teachers at Perrine Elementary. I am excited to share some of what my first graders and I will be doing this year in Room 2! Keep checking in to see what we are learning in Room 2.
